Me, Sheelagh Caygill
Me, Sheelagh Caygill

I'm Sheelagh Caygill and I'm a freelance writer. I have worked for regional newspapers in Canada and the UK and have practiced public relations in both countries also.

I've created www.blogeclectic.com to share my views, travel adventures and ideas and thoughts on customer service and business. I'll also offer tips and suggestions for people who write and work in public relations/communications.

I'm also going to track the progress of a website I'm helping with: www.datepositive.net, a dating/friendship website for people wih sexually transmitted infections.

I freelance with a group of associates and my company is called Indigo Connect Media. If you need any copy writing, assistance with media relations, or have a web or design project, then please contact us!

Before freelancing I was digital media editor at The Northern Echo where, during a six-year period, I took the online audience form 200,000 to 1.2 million a month. I am recipient of IABC magazine and newsletter awards, and the BT regional website of the year award in 2001.

I have a diploma in journalism from Niagara College, Ontario, and a BA in History from the University of Alberta. I have taken numerous writing, marketing and event management courses over the years.
